Scenery and Parachute Jumpers

Well, it's officially summer! Here in NC, we've welcomed it with stifling 104* temps for the last week or so. *not. funny.*

Anywho, summer semi-officially began with the celebration of Memorial Day. (at least, my summer did.)   So, the Davis family set out to enjoy Thomasville's Memorial Day Parade, which turns out, is the largest in the state. Who knew? It included WWII, Pearl Harbor, and Korean War vets (as well as other state dignitaries/veterans.)

Then, (this is awesome) we to the football stadium, where the town served free hotdogs and drinks to all of Thomasville! Pretty cool, huh? :)

Then...

  Parachute jumpers!

All 4 jumpers from NC- very cool!

It was a very nifty day- ended at Pilot Mtn.

...Then, dad shot a fox. Hooray for southern summer entertainment!

until next time...
